unchain me, sister

i've been doing digital coloring for weeks now, which for me is a lot of careful clicking, filling, saving, and otherwise nitpicking, and finally had a fit and just hammered through a speedy tablet sketch of something i'd had an idea for for a while.

this is a concept sketch for a far-off idea in writing "Bomango" in the same vein as [link] . I love doing the small-scale character stuff with Gogo, Didi, and Andy, but I also love the idea of doing something outrageously apocalyptic with these characters.

Bah, enough justifying. This is a big damn kaiju-Gogo in battleplate undergoing regeneration and maintenance in Didi's enormous laboratory-fortress. Gogo can't be trusted to run loose in any other capacity than being used as a living weapon to slam other monsters off the planet, so once she's spent it's back to the holding pen. That doesn't stop her from making silver-tongued entreaties to Didi to let her go "just for a little while, come on, you can trust me...".

She's festooned with mechanical implants and other upgrades meant to restrict and control as much as to augment and protect. The big ol' horns are her "crown", as it were, although what exactly that signifies is unclear, but they make her head an even more effective weapon.

On Saturdays, cartoon reruns are piped into her brain, to her great delight.
