just an uncolored piece of Didi lineart I drew the other day, which to me looked like she was in the middle of some sort of lounge act (or telling a fish story, hehe). For one reason or another, a lot of my recent ideas of Didi involve her singing or something, which is a bit of a silly conceit for a character whose medium is static and soundless.
i know my submissions lately have been kinda lackluster, but enjoy the D anyway
What would you do if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me? (stylistically more like Cocker than like Starr, but most likely more melodic than both...)
Well, I wanted something similar for my comic - I decided to make it a musical, despite the medium being static and soundless. I'll have the characters sing the songs and dance the dances within the confines of the frames, and I'll also record the songs and upload them so people can listen while they read. It's not exactly a seamless genre integration, but it may just work!
I always love your costume designs for Didi. She always looks like some kind of cyberpunk beatnik, the way she mixes the high-tech, future-y clothes with this inalienable artistry to it all. Where do you draw inspiration from?
Wow, I really love the folding in the clothes here, something just strikes as really... real. Haha. But her eyes, that's a big Whoa there! They look so maintained, and calm, and that's not too common with Didi, now is it? It makes me really wonder what the script would be like here.

Regardless, Didi looks cool singing; that's justification enough.
