Nope, it's not flying. It's merely the top of the trajectory. :D

First, you get a good running start, build up some momentum, then make successively longer jumps until...this. (see also: why Gogo doesn't have a car). Not to fear, she can stick the landing, but that won't do anything about Andy's surely-soiled trousers.

A silly piece, i know. I need to draw more action-y stuff, since this is a character who SHOULD be depicted in action. Her cross-country travel method is a good start.

i like doing these fast sketchy drawings lately, too. Lower-res, more flaws, but i was never a fine artist :) enjoy!

Seriously though, I like this piece. It's not as polished and shiny as other pieces, but there's a certain warmth to it; it tells a story without saying a word and I like that. The characters look alive, they look human(oid?)

i like both ways of going about it. With crisper, more finished work, the end result is more polished, but it's easy to fuss over it too much and sometimes it comes off a little stiff or overdone. With rougher work, the end result is messier (perhaps less professional), but i find it's more of a relaxing release a lot of the time too.

this picture is a great example of how without saying a word you can thoroughly express a good chunk of story. beautifully done my friend. gogo and andy are great characters and I look forward to seeing more of them. thank you for sharing them.
