First post in years....heh just a colored sketch i cranked out tonight based on my WoW char...too much time on my hands....

Pencil sketch, refined with millenium marker, pencil smudge toning, and digital color....simple graphic stew....

Really nice! :D I think it would be better with more of a background tough than a out of focus cloudscape.

What a fantastic character! She looks so fierce!! :) That look in her eyes looks almost like murder. I can't critique anything about this image except that the background seems almost too soft for this sketch. But that's a matter of style perhaps.

Totally cool troll! I have to give my two cents on the background; I think it makes sense, if you were focusing on her, then her image would be sharp and the background would be blurry. Right? I don't know, I'm not a real artist or anything. :P
But yeah, I have a feeling that you could make a living off of commissions just drawing people's Wow characters, bc a lot of people would want it if they saw this. :)

lol thanks, i guess the background in any picture is subject to the whims and wiles of the artist in question...

..and yeah, when my guild buddies saw i was drawin WoW characters, i got a few requests :P

Hey, this illustration looks great, all those details on the cloth and little ugly things on her hands... can't stop looking at the picture.
The character design is very personal.
Color and illumination is also very well handled, looks like a good animation, for big screen.
The backround plays well its part with the character job and stuff, but I think a little less blurry could make it look even better.

Can I ask some technical questions? You used this "millenium marker" instead of ink, black?? Don't know the thing... And after that you worked all the color on the computer, wich program?

'millenium' is just a brand (i think) sort of like micron pens, but i like the milles better. :)

for color and touchups I used photoshop 7.0, aaaaand......i do believe that's it....^^;
