sample page from the upcoming "Lost Girl" book, in which a girl becomes lost, and even says as much here on this very page! It makes for a helpful sample page, though, since she's effectively summed up the story to this point without giving it all away.
Not really, but yeah.
For those keeping score at home, the "Lost Girl" is a work in progress (nearly done!) featuring the story of Joy (pictured above) who indeed becomes lost, but also involved with man-eating monster boys (and girls), and bloody hijinks ensue. Seriously, there is quite a bit of blood.
I like Joy a lot. She's a plucky lass--with a firm grasp of the obvious--who's nimble, clever, occasionally dorky, and, oh yes, she has A GUN. You'd be amazed how useful those damn things are when you're a girl dropped into a survival horror situation. One could snickeringly argue "hey, looks like she's packing OTHER weapons too, nudge nudge know-what-i-mean-wink-wink", to which i would reply "Yes, she actually kicks a fellow quite hard at one point," and we laugh, on into the night....
....it's 4 am, and i'm sleepy, sorry...
Anyways...enjoy Joy!
Oh, and this book marks my first attempt at a full-color book, which i don't mind tellin you is a pain in the everlovin tuckus, but a good sort of pain.

Take a memo: Vacations and bonuses for all!
now to chomp on my stogey and stare out my high-rise office window, face upturned proudly with my hands dynamically on my hips. INDUSTRY!
