Had to do this before work tonight. HAD to. Have you SEEN the latest episode? Gee whiz!
(i know Korra's primarily a water-bender, but throwing earth around is way brutal)
Yeah, I'm a huge "Legend of Korra" fan (buff, dark-skinned heroine who smashes things? s'matter witchoo?) and i'm throwing my hat into the (ever-growing) fanart ring. It's an amazing show, from the vivid world of Avatar to the fantastic character design and the phenomenal story. Heck, "Korra" is what kicked me in the pants to finally go and check out the original series for the first time...i STILL feel like an idiot for never watching it before.
There ARE elements to the show that make me squirm...again, dark-skinned ass-kicking girl (and a squishy little fire ferret named PABU...DAMMIT!)...if they introduce a mopey kid with a mop of chestnut hair i'm FINISHED
But wow, what a great series. Hooked from the get-go, i was. I can't wait to see where it goes from here!
good to see Gogo and your stuff growing. She is indeed giving off different vibes. very interesting. i would so buy your books of her and Andy if you made them.
Korra looks fantastic here! She's quite the warrior girl, for a Water Tribe female. It's nice to see older teens in the Avatar: The Last Airbender world, doing stuff like the original gang from the original series. I too made an elemental-controlling character, but I based her off of the worlds of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat. There's some of Raiden (MK) in her, as well as Makoto (SF), and maybe just a little of the girls from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Still, I am eagerly anticipating the DVD release of Legend of Korra: Season 1. I hope to get into it, considering the mostly good reviews.
